Steps For HP Officejet Pro 8720 Setup

Box Contents:

• Setup poster
• Getting started guide
• HP Instant Ink card
• Printer power cord
• Two-wire phone cable
• Installation CD
• Ink cartridges (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black)
• HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 Setup

Note: All the packaging materials inside the box can be recycled.

Unboxing And Initial Setup:

• Remove the printer from the box.
• Next, remove all the visible blue tape and protective plastic around the printer.
• Lift the scanner lid and remove the Styrofoam sheet.
• Slide-out the input tray and continue removing the blue tape and other packing materials.
• Pull out the automatic document feeder.
• Go to the backside of the printer and plug the power cord into the port and the other end into a wall outlet.

Note: HP recommends using the wall outlet for best performance of the printer.

• Once plugged in, power on the printer.
• Go to the control panel and choose Language > Select > Yes.
• Now select the country or region and click Confirm.
• Set the date and click Continue.
• Set time and click Continue Setup.
• In the printer setup environment, Select Self-managed and then press Continue.

Ink Cartridge Installation:

• Lift the ink cartridges access door.
• Get the bundle of cartridges.
• Insert the four ink cartridges into the respective slots.

Note: Avoid touching the copper contacts or ink ports to prevent potential clogs, ink failure, and bad electrical connections.

• Close the ink cartridge access door.

Loading Of Paper:

• When the printer prompts you to load the paper, slide out the input tray and pull it out from the printer.
• Load the white paper into the tray and adjust the length and width.
• Now touch OK and Continue to initialize the printer.
• The printer will align and print a page.
