HP OfficeJet Pro 8620 is an inkjet printer designed particularly for small offices. The printer supports both wired and wireless connection types. In case of any network fluctuations, you can use the printer’s Wi-Fi Direct feature to connect directly and print from any mobile device or tablet. The printer also comes with the NFC (Near Field Communication) support that lets you print wirelessly from any of the network devices. It is capable of printing up to 21 pages per minute (ppm) for black/white prints and 16.5 ppm for color prints. Troubleshooting 1 - Printer not turning on:

  • Make sure that the printer's power cable is connected to a stable electrical supply.
  • Ensure that the printer’s Power button is fully functional.

  • Check the printer lights (paper light, ink light, power light).
  • If you connect a USB 2.0 cable to make a wired connection, then make sure that the cable is connected properly.

  • Keep in mind that the paper set position is set to accurate.
  • If you are getting an Inverted image, turn off the Horizontal setting in the Advanced menu.

Troubleshooting 4 - Paper jams:  

  • If a rolled paper is jammed completely, cut the paper at the paper insertion slot.
  • Pull the paper lever to the released position in order to release the paper.
  • If necessary, open the front cover.
  • Carefully remove the jammed paper.

Note: Ensure that you do not touch the circuit board when handling the jammed paper.

  • Once the jammed paper is removed, close the front cover.
  • Firmly press the Power button to switch off the printer and turn it back on.

Follow the below points when inserting the paper.

  • The intended paper should not be folded or wrinkled.
  • The paper needs to be flattened.
  • Make sure that the paper is not damp.
  • Ensure that the document is not too thick or thin.

Troubleshooting 5 - Problem with software installation: 

  • Close all other applications, including any screen savers or virus protection software, and install the software again.
  • Ensure that your HP printer is turned on and the cable is connected to both ends.
  • Also, your computer configuration should meet the basic requirements.
  • The USB controller needs to be working fine without any issues.
  • If you are printing over a wireless network, check the wireless network connection status.
