FIRST TIME PRINTER SETUP

The entire HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e setup process includes five simple steps.

  • Unpacking the printer 
  • Turning on the printer
  • Installing the ink cartridges
  • Loading paper
  • Installing the printer software

Now, let’s see all the five steps one by one in detail.

UNPACKING THE PRINTER/PREPARING THE PRINTER

  • Open the product box.
  • At the top of the box, you can find the HP Instant Ink Setup cartridges; take them out of the box.
  • Now, pull out the printer from the box.
  • You can find the power cord at the side of any one of the Styrofoam end caps. Take the cord out and place it aside.
  • Remove the Styrofoam end caps and plastic cover from the printer. 
  • Along with the printer, you can find a setup guide, references guide, etc. Place the printer components aside. 
  • Unpack the printer completely by removing all the packing tapes, Styrofoam sheets, etc., from it.
  • Place the unpacked printer on a neat surface and go to the next step of the HP Officejet Pro 8025e Setup process. 

TURNING ON THE PRINTER

  • Get the power cord of your printer.
  • Plug the cord’s one end to your printer and the opposite end to the working power outlet.
  • Now, your printer turns on automatically.
  • Wait for the printer to complete its initial boot-up process and to become stable.
  • Once the boot-up process is completed, you will be asked to select the device language. 
  • Select the desired device language from the list.
  • Tap Confirm to save the settings.

  • Close the cartridge access and front doors of your printer. 
  • Tap OK.

LOADING PAPER

  • Pull out the paper input tray from your printer.
  • Move the side guides to the outermost position of the tray.
  • Fan and load a stack of plain or letter paper into the tray.
  • Make sure that the paper is loaded with its print-side facing up.
  • Adjust the guides properly.
  • Now, push the tray towards the printer.
  • Open the output tray of your printer.
  • Tap the OK button on the control panel.
  • Now, your printer will start to print an alignment page.
  • Once the alignment page is printed, place it on a scanner glass with its print-side facing down.
  • Scan the page to complete the alignment process. 

INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE

  • Download the HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e printer software for your Windows or Mac computer from the printer’s official page.

  • Now, plug one end of the phone cord to the phone line splitter and the opposite end to your DSL modem.
  • Connect the DSL filter to the unused port of the phone line splitter.
  • Get another phone cord, and using it, connect your printer to the DLS filter. Make sure that the cord is connected to the 1-Line port of your printer. 
  • Connect your printer to the telephone answering machine using another phone cord.
  • Turn on your printer.
