  • On your Windows computer, click on the Start menu and select Internet.
  • In the Internet Properties window, click the Connections tab.
  • Select your network and click Settings.
  • Under proxy server, locate and write the values in the Address and port fields.
  • Open the printer Embedded Web Server with the HP Smart app.
  • From the EWS, navigate to Web Services and click Proxy Settings.
  • Enter the port value and address. Then click Apply.

Check power connection and reset the printer:

  • Check whether the power cord is perfectly connected to the printer.
  • Check for light. It indicates that the printer is receiving electrical power.
  • Press the Power button to switch on the printer.
  • Press the Power button again to turn off your printer.
  • Now, disconnect the power cord from the power outlet.
  • Wait for 15 minutes and reconnect the power cord into the wall outlet.
  • Turn on your HP OfficeJet printer by pressing the Power button.
  • Now, check whether the issue is fixed.

  • Check whether the correct type of phone cord is connected to the printer.

  • On your HP printer control panel, touch Setup and then select Setup Wizard.
